Next I found and opened the Boot Camp folder located the Programs Folder. Once Windows started up again, I checked the Windows taskbar in lower right corner and the Boot Camp icon was not there. Apple Software Update then restarted my Mac. However, the Boot Camp icon did not appear in the taskbar at lower right corner of my Windows desktop, So, I selected Apple Software Update from the Windows menu and installed the updates, which were a new version of Boot Camp for Windows and a WiFi update for Boot Camp. Than Boot Camp launched automatically and moved all of the appropriate drivers for Windows to support my MacBook Pro hardware, such as keyboard, mouse, AMD Radeon video drivers. My MacBook Pro restarted to complete the Windows 10 Pro setup, which was successful. Pro-Tip: Disconnect all drives, sticks and back-up solutions at the very beginning of this processīoot Camp for windows won't run in Windows on my MacBook Pro (2018) (MacOS 10.15.2 Catalina) I successfully installed Window 10 Pro (64-bit) on my MacBook Pro (2018), running MacOS 10.15.2 Catalina, using Boot Camp. NB: Allow Windows to fully load, as the BootCamp icon shows up a little late Once windows has finished loading, explore the USB stick and click on setupĪll the relevant drivers etc will be extracted into Windows, allow to complete and follow the dialogue boxes. Reboot into Windows (using "Option key" at the start-up chimes) Progress through the Wizard to download the software on to your named USB stick. Noting the name, brand and GB size ( don't use Kingston USB3 as they have known issues) Make sure you have an empty correctly formatted that Windows can read (ie FAT) and clearly named USB stick (ie 10 Support) connected. Un-tick all the boxes except "download Windows support files" Solution: On the same machine that has Windows installed. If you have installed Windows 10 successfully but the BootCamp icon is not showing up, its probably the correct Support Drivers have not been applied for the particular machine Played around with this one for a while on several machines
